Mode of action studies of AMPs on model/biological systems
Biophysical experiments for the quantitative determination of peptide-membrane association and the detailed characterization of the mechanisms of pore formation, by mean of model and biological systems. With the goal of better characterizing the site of association of peptide molecules, binding studies with bacterial strains with different components of the bacterial cell are performed as well as with spheroplasts, bacterial lysates and bacterial membrane extract.
